Founded by William M. “Billy” Summs, Atlantic Asset Management Group, Inc., has been providing professional business asset recovery and liquidations since 1979. Billy’s family has been in asset management recovery since 1923, making ours the oldest continuous family operation of its kind in the country today.
Over the years Atlantic Asset Management Group has developed innovative techniques and creative, imaginative marketing programs that have helped us build a national market presence with such institutional clients as banks, credit companies and financial institutions. Recognized as an expert in public auctions and remarketing, we have not only provided professional recovery and remarketing services to major corporations and even local governments; we have also coordinated asset donation programs for local, regional and national charitable organizations.
Today, Atlantic Asset Management Group is a professional asset recovery firm with annual gross sales of $2 to $3 million. The corporation specializes in remarketing personal property, estates, commercial, industrial, machinery, business assets and real estate. With well over two decades of professional auction experience, we provide personal assistance to individuals and appraisal and liquidation services to corporations, attorneys, financial institutions, government agencies, developers and private owners. We specialize in the sale of commercial and residential real estate, commercial and retail businesses, furniture, fixtures, equipment, machinery, heavy equipment and surplus vehicles. We also offer professional appraisals, consulting, recovery, relocation and liquidations. As we have grown, we have realized the need to expand our areas of expertise and created divisions that can facilitate different services for different clientele. As a result, we have created two subsidiaries, Donation Remarketing Group and Norfolk Auto Auction, to work specifically with their respective markets of charities and auto sales. We also have an affiliated company, Asset Recovery Services, LLC, that provides our corporate group with important recovery services.
